Biography

Anthony Disano

Founder | AD Signature Homes

Great homes are rarely the result of chance. They are the product of legacy, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the art of building.

For Anthony Disano, the foundation of AD Signature Homes was laid generations before the company itself existed.

His family’s connection to real estate and development traces back to a farm in Piscataway, New Jersey, where a hardworking farmer named Morris Weshnak made a decision that would shape the future of the family. Seeking a better life, he subdivided a portion of his farmland and built several homes along the road. What began as a practical solution soon evolved into a thriving development business.

When Morris later fell ill, his son Barry stepped in to continue the work his father had begun. The result was the creation of Barrymor Enterprises, a firm that would go on to build residential neighborhoods, luxury homes, and commercial developments throughout New Jersey over the course of several decades.

Anthony grew up surrounded by the influence of that legacy. He saw firsthand how thoughtful development could shape communities and create opportunity.

But it was a simple childhood moment that ultimately defined his path.

After attending one of the large family gatherings hosted by his relatives, Anthony asked his father how they were able to create such memorable experiences for everyone around them.

His father answered simply:

“They’re in the real estate and construction business.”

From that point forward, Anthony knew the direction his life would take.

Anthony attended Rutgers University, where he studied economics while also pursuing his passion for art and design. Early on, he began investing in real estate, purchasing his first two-family property while still young.

He soon began renovating homes, applying both his economic training and his design sensibility to transform neglected properties into highly sought-after residences. Many of the homes he renovated became the highest selling properties of their type within their markets.

Yet as his experience grew, so did his expectations.

Anthony became increasingly dissatisfied with renovation practices that focused on appearance rather than substance. Making an older home look new was not enough. He believed that a home should be built correctly from the ground up, with every system, structure, and detail executed properly.

That philosophy led him to transition into new construction.

His first ground-up home was built in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Determined to master the craft, Anthony immersed himself in the technical and operational disciplines of residential construction. Early in his journey he partnered with veteran master builder Ronald Tyranski, whose decades of experience constructing hundreds of homes provided invaluable guidance.

Together they built homes across several of New Jersey’s most desirable communities, including Metuchen, Westfield, Summit, Warren, and Watchung.

From these projects, AD Signature Homes emerged.

Today, AD Signature Homes focuses on creating a limited number of highly refined custom residences each year.

The company collaborates with award-winning architects, designers, and elite craftsmen to build homes that combine architectural beauty with modern performance and longevity. Every project is approached with a philosophy rooted in precision, integrity, and enduring quality.

For Anthony, building luxury homes is about more than construction.

It is about creating places where families gather, where memories are made, and where life unfolds.

In many ways, the mission remains the same as it was generations ago on that farm in Piscataway—building homes that bring people together.

And that legacy continues with every home AD Signature builds.
